peanut butter pie
So I just have to share this delicious peanut butter pie recipe I recently came across. It was simple and creamy, making for the best peanut butter pie I've ever had!
Here are the ingredients:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
½ cup peanut butter (creamy)
8 oz whipped topping (like cool whip), thawed
Whipped cream, chocolate syrup (optional toppings)
If you're like me and don't keep powdered sugar around the house, fear not because there is a very simple way to turn regular sugar into powdered sugar. All you have to do is pour it into a blender or food processor for a few seconds and it will grind the sugar down to the size you need. Easy right?!
For the pie, beat the softened cream cheese, peanut butter and sugar until smooth and then fold in the cool whip to create a nice, fluffy texture. Now it's ready to pour into your crust. I just went with a store bought, graham cracker crust but next time I think I'm going to try a nice, chocolate crust to add to the richness. I also saw an easy recipe for an Oreo crust that looked amazing!
After putting the pie together, I popped it in the fridge for a few hours and topped it off with chocolate syrup and whipped cream for the perfect slice of Heaven!
