Bamboo isn't just for pandas

Since I haven't shared any crafts in a few days I thought I would share one that's become a long term project for me. I bought this bamboo table a few weeks ago in hopes of giving it an update and selling it to make a little bit of profit:

The first thing I did was take it to my local glass cutting company and have them cut a piece of glass to fit in the middle of the table. This took a few days because I dropped it off right before the weekend so I just got it back recently. Next, I took the table apart to get all of the little strips of bamboo off so you will be able to see through to the floor. I thought this would be a simple task that would only take a few minutes but really it turned into a long, difficult process trying to remove the twine holding the strips in place. Once this was accomplished I re-attached the outside border pieces and placed the glass in the middle. Turns out, they cut the glass a little too short on each side because of the strips throwing off the measurements.

Thankfully my dad was able to help out to make the glass fit better in the middle and hold it all in place. Thank you, Dad! Here is the final product:

At the end of the day I'm happy with how it turned out but probably won't be seeking out bamboo pieces to work with anymore!
